Of course she wasn't entirely clueless, as Kalie would sometimes allow her to stand by the doorway and watch if she was quiet enough. In all that time, she'd seen a few games being played and had some idea of the ones she felt she might have liked. "The racing one!" Yes, that one. "But maybe we can have a real paintball war sometime. D'you think the Professors would let us? We could have it out on the grounds." With autumn coming into full swing they'd have to wait a while for the grounds to warm up again but it'd be worth it. 'Sides, when the snow started falling it'd be darn near impossible to camouflage. "I think the rain's nice but it does make the Common Room a lot more crowded than I'm used to." Even most Ravenclaws could be seen outside their Common Room on a fair day making the rainy day influx quite noticeable.
Jessa took a seat on one of the plushy bean bags that sat before the television, belatedly turning to face the older boy again. "Do you know how to play it? And to make it work?" She was all for pushing buttons until something happened but couldn't help thinking it'd go a lot faster and they could get to playing sooner if he did. The racing one? Henry grinned as he put the other one back and went to get the racing game set up. "Good choice! This one is a lot of fun." He had played that particular one before, but not the paintball game, so he knew it already to be fun. He was just willing to let her decide, if she wanted.
A real paintball war would be even better. Why hadn't he thought of doing that? "Oh, that sounds awesome! Yeah, I think we should definitely do that sometime. Maybe when it's not raining." Of course, the rain might help wash the paint away. "I don't see why not. We had one in History of Magic a few years ago." Back when he was a first year. Was that the last time he had participated in a paintball fight? At least a magical one.
Once he had the game set up, Henry took a seat in one of the beanbag chairs next to the Ravenclaw, slouching down into its squishiness. "Yeah, I actually have this one at home." He wasn't planning on using that to his advantage or anything, but something told him that she wouldn't appreciated if he went easy on her either. "So, you hold the controller sideways like this, and it's motion-controlled, so you just turn it in the direction you want to steer. Then you hold down this button to go and accelerate, and this button is for using special items that you can collect as you drive." He demonstrated those few things to her. "We need to pick a character and a car first though."
