Apparently she hadn’t had to wait for too long for her friends to arrive. Plus, she’d totally heard Derf’s voice coming from the Hufflepuff table, followed by Henry’s voice. So that meant they’d gotten there too, but first she was definitely spending time at her table. The yay Gryffindor table because they’d totally done awesome. Even the headmistress knew that because she was up there wearing all red. “Hi Zoryn!, ” she’d greeted the second year as she’d sat next to her. The part about going home being BOGUS was still under consideration though when Emmeline had dropped onto the bench across from them and of course gotten a big grin from her. Yay bestie!

“But we did awesome all term and got to meet lots of creatures and…” Way too much for her to even get into, and besides, she was totally planning on trying to figure out how to see everyone over the summer so it wasn’t really bad. Not in her mind, even if she was still worrying over how the unicorns would be over the summer, out there in the forest with all the scary stuff. She’d given a curious look to the Slytherin boy who had suddenly appeared on the other side of Zoryn, too. She remembered him from the rock climbing DADA lesson, though, so he got a smile.

Followed by a giggle as Ace had joined them with his BIG mystery box that everyone kept asking about and it really made her want to ask too. He couldn’t deny a firstie-almost-second-year an answer, could he? “Hi!” That was to him, Olivia and Mel. Yep. Plus, she wondered if her earlier response had answered Ava’s question about her experience this year. The mystery box was distracting her from thinking of a better answer.

Oh, and she finally knew the Slytherin boy’s name so he got another smile. Along with the Ilvermorny girl who Zoryn had said wasn’t allowed to cheerlead. “Is that a new rule?,” she asked Zoryn in what she thought was a whisper. Because she definitely remembered the Ilvermorny people who’d danced on their table back at the beginning of term and she didn’t know how that was different than cheerleading.
