A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

Coming to the conclusion that he would write his name in the seventh year Memory book, Mason made a mental note to do that later when the feast was over and drank the last bit of the pumpkin juice.

As he filled the goblet a second time, he was surprised to find one of the Ilvermorny students had chosen to sit next to him. Of course he knew who she was, he had studied the other competitors the moment his name had been called out from the Book of Merlin. Speaking of the IMPS, he still wasn’t thrilled that an Ilvermorny student had won. On THEIR grounds. How embarrassing was this for Hogwarts?

Putting aside his jealousy, the Ravenclaw turned to look at Louise and shrugged his shoulders. “Thanks, i don’t know what’s next” he said truthfully. “Perhaps i’ll go to Uni….would have been nice if it was paid for but hey” can’t have all the things right? “Congratulations on graduating as well, must be weird spending your last school day in a foreign country”

When the Prefect sat down opposite of them, Mason raised an eyebrow so slightly, it was hardly visible. ‘The common room won’t be the same without you?’ wow, cheezy much? He nearly laughed but held it in. He appreciated the meaning though so he gave Kitty a friendly nod. Well…he wouldn’t exactly say he was fabulous in the tournament. He had failed the first task. It was kind of embarrassing really. “Thanks” he said, not knowing what else to say to that. “You’ll be graduating next term right?” he asked, changing the subject to avoid awkwardness because he did not know how to reply back.

Ah, his fellow competitor. Mason said “Hey” back when he saw Cassandra. You know, when he had first heard about the IMPS competition and that two students, one female and one male, would be chosen, he had thought that they had to work together as a team. Battle of the Houses so to speak. “Survived your OWLs?” he said with a grin. He knew how stressful the fifth year was.
