It was with an entirely different perspective on things that Stasya skipped over to the Great Hall for the last feast of her first year at Hogwarts. She’d managed to prove that it didn’t matter what house she’d been Sorted into, since she still saw Derf and her other Hufflepuff friends all the time, plus…She’d helped the red hourglass get way higher than the others and she’d done really well in dueling club AND CoMC. Runes too, but creatures was way more important in her eyes. The only bad thing was that she still hadn’t managed to find the forest unicorns again and it had been months. The baby was probably way bigger now. She knew that because Albus was way bigger now too, but while she got to take her puffskein home along with Dobby, she had to leave the unicorns here.

Maybe she could ask Professor Wayland to make sure he watched out for them. If he was staying here with all the other creatures over the summer. She could ask, anyway. She saw him up there with the other professors, and she’d given him, along with Professor Marchand and Professor Hirsch, a wave as she’d skipped over to the Gryffindor table. Yep. She’d go over and ask him later. First, she’d go to her own table, and maybe the Hufflepuff one later seeing as she didn’t see Derf or Henry or Isa yet over there. So definitely her own table first, and she’d given Ava and Shay each a big grin as she slipped into a seat not far from them. Where was everyone else?
