mentions of most of you? The challenge seemed challenging, which was saying a lot considering how they'd frozen the competitors just a month prior, but Jesús was certain that Kyle and Valerie would make it out alive. Well, 84.6% certain anyway. "They can both deal," he asserted, not wanting to budge from his stance. A party was a must; something to cleanse them of all the bad vibes that had accumulated over the term. Though, they would have to discuss the matter more in depth at a later time as the challenge was still in progress.
It was hard to watch both of his school mates - or, friends, rather - compete against a runespoor. Now that was incredibly ridiculous and he found himself zoning in and out unintentionally throughout the task. Blinking for a bit, the Thunderbird found himself focusing again on the screens only to find that the challenge was over. Where had the time gone? Was he really that far gone? Incredible. The sixth year was fully prepared to welcome Valerie (and Kyle) when she entered the stands, except that she was taking too long to get there. He frowned at that, and diverted his attention elsewhere.
It was because Lachlan had literally leapt out of his seat - a feat that Jesús would have to interrogate him more about later - and the New York native followed him (with his eyes, at least) and realized moments later that Valerie had fainted. How terribly cliché of her. Before he was able to get up and splash some water over her face (because he didn't think much of her fainting (she'd just faced a runespoor, after all,)) Hogwarts' school healer, plus a few other people had started crowding around her. Jesús, instead, opted to sit back and pop another caramel into his mouth as he waited for Princess Valerie to be tended to.
The Thunderbird's thoughts went to Kyle and he scanned the seats to look for him. He decided that it made more sense to head to Kyle (there was less people around him, too) than to go and add to the confusion that was Valerie's situation. Jesús walked carefully around the seats and found an empty one next to Kyle. "You should get that looked at," he remarked casually, "glad to see you made it out alive, though." Which was his way of saying: great job at handling that large beast. Jesús looked back down at the scene, eyes briefly landing on Madelyn - he sent her a smile and a wave - before returning back to watch the healer work on Valerie.
