It seems like you attract the Quidditch type.'' He grinned, meaning that as a compliment. "There's nothing more satisfying in seeing them follow in our footsteps, eh? Do you think that your husband and bestie would mind meeting Brody sometime? I know he'd love to.'' The nephew was always hoping to meet Quidditch players ever since Lucas had first taken him to matches. "I say it because it must be true but you're welcome.'' He liked Kat a lot already. Lucas laughed a little. "It's fun to be a Beater when you want to take your frustrations out on something. I'd say it's pretty fun to try getting the Quaffle past the Keepers. We should have a match sometime. You can be Keeper and I can be Chaser.'' Kat was glad someone understood what she meant. Sure, she had been voted once as 'most likely to play Quidditch professionally' during her Hogwarts years, but she just didn't feel like it. However, she wasn't one to let go of an opportunity to watch her favourite sport any day. The blonde smiled at Lucas, grateful that he understood. "Yes, really," Kat couldn't help but laugh at his expression. Wasn't she just lucky? "I also went to school with both of them, so I've known them for a really long time already." Even waaaay before they both got into the professional Quidditch level. "Hmm... well, yes, I guess that seems like it." This was a rather amusing topic, to be honest, and also a little ego-inflating. Katrina Belrose was a typical Slytherin.
Of course. Kat nodded in agreement. "I'm really glad I could someday share my love for the sport with my daughter," she said. And she couldn't wait. It would definitely make a great topic for mother-daughter bonding. "Oh, I don't think they'd mind. I guess they've gotten really used to meeting young Quidditch fans for years. I'll let them know about your nephew, then I'll send you a note?" It had been more than a decade since they graduated, and Elise and Cle got scouted by their teams. Kat was sure they've dealt with far more than just young kids trying to get their autographs and photos taken. Spending time with a nine-year-old wasn't anywhere near the press trying to poke their noses into their private lives.
And Kat really liked it when people complimented her. Lucas received yet another smile from the blonde. He seemed really nice, so it didn't bother her that he spoke so nicely of her. "I like the sound of the bat when it connects with the Bludger. Like... thwack!" Music to her ears, Kat had to admit. She deeply missed her Quidditch days, and so Lucas' offer caught her attention the most. "I'll keep that offer in mind," the blonde said with a wink. Which was mostly a yes, because why would she let that opportunity go? Kat was really considering it. Thanks, Lucas.
