Seriously?!
This dude would
not succumb to literally
anything he attempted on it. Brent imagined the armor would get hot and cumbersome soon, and he was anxious to get out of it. Not to mention the fact that staying around here much longer would pretty much put him on a dinner plate for the snake. Just as he thought that, the snake lunged at him, and Brent jumped back just in time to miss it's fatal bite.
"HOW DO I SUBDUE THE FREAKIN' BEAST IN NATURE?!" he thought to himself.
In nature...in nature...
His eyes landed on the very spot in the grass he'd heard the rustling from. He'd always assumed the runespoor had slithered in from that particular area, and for some reason, Brent's attention was brought back to it now. Not
just the grass, though, but the roots of a nearby sturdy-looking tree that spread throughout the grass. It was something he was just now noticing,
and the sight of them gave him a bit of hope.
"You came from the grass," he suddenly said to the runespoor,
"and now, you go back to the grass." Specifically the roots that run through the grass. On that note, Brent took a very quick step back so he was now standing on a rock in the dirt just past where the roots stopped. He needed
only the snake to be in that area for his plan to work.
"INCARCIFORS!" he called out. It was a transfiguration spell that transfigured objects into a suitable cage for creatures. As he cast, Brent circled his wand around the patches of root-covered grass the creature stood in. He paid careful attention to making sure his wand pointed right at those sturdy tree branches. The tree had what looked like hundred of roots spreading out in other directions, and since he wasn't casting on
all of them, he was pretty sure the tree would survive this while still standing tall and proud. He had to hurry. Once the snake figured out what was going on, especially if the plan started
working, it was going to be pretty mad.
"INCARCIFORS!" he cast again, still circling the root-covered grass around the snake.
"INCARCIFORS!"
He'd cast on a pretty large perimeter around the snake, and more importantly, himself and the door he needed were both
outside of that area. He'd be pretty foolish to capture the door inside of that cage, too.
