With Kirk handling the commentary for the moment, Dana removed her Sonorus charm temporarily like she did earlier so she could talk to Sam. She had absolutely no intention of casually broadcasting their conversation to the entire school, not now and definitely not ever. Sam taking her hand surprised Dana a little since she had just asked the question. She expected it to not happen all immediately, but then it did and there was a surge of red on her cheeks. She was... holding his hand... in front of everyone... strangers, students, and staff members.

It was so evident that she had become a pink tomato. Thanks, Sam. But she liked it, she couldn't deny that she liked it.

Another thing that caught her attention was the flower that he offered to her. Dana took a moment to identify what it was, blinking in the process, before laughing lightly and taking the plant with her free hand. "I'm not actually surprised you brought another plant today," Dana said, which was true. However, she felt this Moly plant was better than the Mimbulus Mimbletonia Sam had brought during the previous. At least this one didn't spew Stinksap at anyone's general direction. "But thank you for being thoughtful. Those creatures... won't get anywhere near me." They were in the arena, very much away from the viewing area. And Sam would have received a quick kiss on the cheek, but she'd reserved that for when the entire student body wasn't around. Sam was special to her, and by now he knew that already.

Now, it was her turn to commentate. Dana smiled at Kirk as he finished his part and took her hand off of Sam's for a while, and then casted another non-verbal Sonorus charm on herself. "Valerie Gray's going strong despite that attack from the Runespoor, and she looks like she's still up to defeat her beast... with flowers and vines!" Wait, what? Flowers and vines? Dana blinked. Well, if those were necessary to Valerie's survival, the sixth year wasn't going to complain. She just hoped she and everyone else got through this challenge. And hopefully Sam wasn't going to go on about how the plants shouldn't have been harmed. Well, yeah. Anyway, moving on to the next competitor. "On the other hand, Levi Kenning's crawling...? Right, crawling towards the door to get a better look at his other set of runes. Better act fast! The Runespoor doesn't look like it's going to be kept at bay for so long." Those fangs were terribly scary, just saying. "Brent Westwood got his second set of runes right and... WATCH OUT!" Dana shuddered as Brent's Runespoor lunged towards him, and watched everything with WIDE EYES.

Thank Merlin she didn't sign up for that! Truthfully, she would never have signed up, anyway. Send help to all the competitors, please. This final challenge was going to scare the life out of this seventeen year old.

"I-is he okay? Oh gosh, Brent's okay!" Dana needed like five minutes to swallow all that happened in front of her, but she needed to get this done. She'd just stare at blank space after this challenge, thanks. "M-meanwhile, Kyle Baker's solved his second set of runes as well, and is now attempting to... oh, now that's interesting. He used Animalis Fidelis! Something we didn't see from the other competitors." Props to him for thinking outside the box, though! Dana wouldn't have been in the right brain to think of such if she were in that situation.

But now her throat was painfully dry from all the speaking and loud reacting to what happened down there. It was Kirk's turn this time. Dana cleared her throat, but it had only caused a little more pain. This was... uncomfortable. But you know what? A thousand thank you's for Kirk's friend/girlfriend for the offer! Dana looked at the girl with bright eyes. "Y-yes, please?" The blonde cleared her throat again and took a cup of water from the tray the Hogwarts girl had slid in front of her and Kirk. She sipped a few times to relieve her dry throat and took a deep breath. "Thank you so much." The girl (Mel) received a smile from Dana. Definitely appreciated. She considered taking a few snacks later on, when her stomach wasn't twisted in knots from all that transpired from the last challenge so far. And judging from what she and Kirk were doing, Dana could safely assume that they were dating... which made the blonde blush a little. Meep, they were so cute!

Dana removed her Sonorus charm again, looked back at Sam, and returned to holding his hand. It was nice to know she had someone beside her for support, you know? "Do you want water, too?" They could share her cup if he wanted some. She honestly didn't mind.
