Now, though, there was only one challenge left to go, and only a matter of weeks left of the school year. Things were winding down, and even Kyle had succumbed to the idea of taking an extra break here and there. In terms of the competition, he had of course already faced his two worst school subjects, and despite the importance of the upcoming challenge, he had felt the pressure lessen significantly.
The most Kyle had seen of Hogwarts was the library, and the corridors that led him there. The grounds too, of course, seeing as that the ridiculous Beetle had been stationed out there. Kyle had paid particular note to certain aspects of the castle... the portraits, for instance, steeped in history as they were. But there were a great many things here at Hogwarts that he had yet to devote any attention to at all.
The hourglasses, for instance, the ones that counted house points. The colours were vibrant, standing out magnificently against the grey of the stone Entrance Hall. Today, rather than pass them by as usual on his walk through the castle, Kyle decided to give in to his curiosities and take a closer look, instead. He stopped in front of the four hourglasses and inspected them, his eyes naturally drawn to the one full of red rubies.
Gryffindor House took no prisoners, apparently.
Diet was important to Noelle. Well, her diet. It used to not be. She used to eat whenever she felt like it and then it was usually something sweet or fried. But since she started her animagus training, and Professor Stewart told her she needed to mind her diet and exercise for an easier change, that's what she was doing.
Today was no different. After finishing her meal, Noelle wiped her mouth and headed out of the Great Hall. She was to report to patrols soon, but had a little bit of time before she needed to do that. She headed down the corridor when something... or rather someone caught her eye.
The infamous, Kyle Baker.
Curious, Noelle went to stand by him. She glanced at the hourglasses a moment. A few different questions rose in her mind. Some being more friendly than others. Others were curious that she was sure others wanted to know. Instead, she blurted out, "
Do you think you could win the competition?"
Which was rude... because she didn't say hi or acknowledge her existence to him. And they had
briefly met once so it was probably weird her coming up to him and blurting that out. "
Oh. Um.. yeah hold on. Hi, Im Noelle Summers. So, do you think you could win the competition? Against Levi? Or Brent? or even your own classmate Gray?"
Was that a little better? Probably not.
