Honestly, Stasya had expected more of an argument about who was going to be doing the climbing, but instead, it all seemed to just go her way. At least, Ava had taken back her thought that it ought to have been her or Noelle doing the climbing, and she was secretly grateful for that. She still wasn’t sure she’d be able to contribute, besides climbing, so as she’d been given permission, she had ran off to get a helmet and the gloves that Professor Hirsch had said they had to wear if they were climbing. That only cemented her theory that he really wasn’t going to let any of them get hurt, too. She knew he was like that, no matter what others might think. Just like she knew her parents weren’t dark just because they’d gone to Durmstrang.

She’d noticed Derf joining Emmeline in a group as she’d made her way back over to her own group, too, and she’d given him a big grin. Yay for Emmeline not being left out, even though she still wondered if her best friend was remembering the tree. Even she had a little bit of worry, but she was trying not to let it hurt her or her group.

“Okay, I’m ready!,” she said as she got back to the side of the big rock the others had gathered at, getting excited again when she saw the holes they’d already managed to make for her. Now it was time for her to be like Dobby, and she’d started to climb even as Professor Hirsch had spoken again, telling them the lesson was almost over. Nooo. She wanted to climb. Therefore, she just kept on climbing, although she also listened to the advice to avoid any falling debris. Climbing, climbing, climbing. Was this really what it was like being a squirrel?
