Dueling might be his favorite. It gave him a chance to practice his skills. See if the water balloon throwing over the summer had any real value to it. Dueling was all about aim, if you didn't have aim and the correct spell there was no point of really doing it. He walked on to the mat knowing he was up against a first year. Another first year, really Professor, was he that naive that he would put a Blaze with a younger student? Obviously, he didn't know the name well enough.
That will change, oh yes that will change. Eddie eyed his opponent before doing the stupid bow and turning to move. The innocent little first year seemed to actually wait until he was ready. Wow, first rule in defense doesn't wait until the bad guy opponent was ready. Her first spell was fireworks? Cute, really, but he lifted his wand, "protego" and as easy as that protected himself.
He gave her a smile that could be interpreted as a sweet smile or possibly an amused smile. Either way, Eddie was now thinking about his moves. He was calm as can be as he took a few steps in one direction and then the other. Shall he move her, knock her out? Nah, he decided he was going to have some fun first and try a few things. He did the wand movement and spoke very clearly, "Slugulus Eructo" that would be fun for her now wouldn't it? Well at least it would be fun for him, but while shew as dealing with that he thought he'd give another go and did the next movement and sent the Toenail growth hex at her.
