It was ON. BOOM.
Matt got ready while the professor was still talking. He grounded his feet in a stable position and held his wand up, already pointing it at the largest rock in the room. His left palm was facing forward as he held it above his right arm, ready to protect his face in case any bits of rock came flying at him.
He held this position for a few seconds as the teacher continued giving the instructions, focusing on the rock in front of him and absorbing the information being given. That massive rock was about to EXPLODE. How. Awesome.
Labefactum. Labefactum. The Gryffindor kept repeating the incantation in his head while still listening to the professor. Merlin, the man liked talking. Let him BLOW UP SOME ROCKS alreadeh!
Matt NEARLY went for it when it souded like professor Hirsch had finished the instructions, but he managed to stop himself when the older wizard added something extra for those taking NEWTs that year. Right, okay, could they go already???

"LABEFACTUM!" He exclaimed while firmly flicking his wand after circling it clockwise.
It was like he could almost SEE the force coming out of his wand and going towards the rock. The impact made a very loud noise once it hit the target and Matt was super pleased when a long crack made its way from the top of the rock down right below its middle. Which meant it could take more. "LABEFACTUM!" AAAHHHH KABOOM!
The fifth year cheered, jumping up and punching the air in celebration. What was once a single massive rock was now two - actually three! Mwaha - smaller rocks. "WOOOOOO!!!!" CHAMP!! |
