Clockwise circular motion around the rock and flick! Kirk repeated the mantra, hoping that somehow he would invoke some magic wordlessly. But nope, there was no sign of the rock doing anything. So now he could repeat the magic words, yeah?
"Labefactum.." Kirk started softly, before repeating the motion with his wand. The rock sat perfectly on his palm when he repeated the incantation, "Labefactum!" Keeping his eyes on the rock after the final flick. He kept his stare and determination, the rock did not break but did manage to shake a bit. Well, better than nothing. He then considered the fact on the rock breaking in his hand, there was a risk on cutting himself with it. So he placed the rock down on the ground.... where it then crumbled.
Kirk blinked a few times.. Did that count? It broke inwardly so.. Nah, maybe one more time. Clearing his throat, he dragged a slightly-larger-sized rock before practicing again.
