"Give me a break," she muttered under her breath, clearly annoyed at the thought of sharing the same breathing space as that pig headed, arrogant, and idiotic man.
Fortunately he seemed to be on the verge of falling asleep which meant that he had no idea that she was there. Not wanting to get sucked into a conversation with a waste of space, Gabby made her way past him, hoping that he wouldn't wake up enough to notice her. Obviously she wasn't scared of the man - as if anyone COULD be - she just wanted to eat her lunch in peace and then get back to work.
His head nodded once but it was enough to wake him up a bit. Con automatically reached for his coffee, his food forgotten about. Reagan had kept him up a part of the previous night and coupled with work, it was enough to make any man tired. His eyes moved around the restaurant as he took sips of the delicious dark liquid.
Con barely took notice of anyone until...
Gabby Burton.
A smirk crossed his lips as he watched the big headed and H-U-M-O-N-G-O-U-S pride filled woman. Seriously, why did she have to be here where he was too? He continued to watch her in disgust. He wasn't going to say anything to her. Not yet anyway.
Maybe he was too sleepy but he felt he cared even less to taunt her today. |
