Lucas was so taken up by the talks of Quidditch that he had failed to notice the extended hand. Sorry, Katrina. He meant no offense. Smiling, he leaned back comfortably in his seat. "Yes, I am. I would have played Internationally but I had an injury. Instead I coached the Castelobruxo team and the Brazil International team.'' A fact that he was proud of. "May I ask how you got interested in the game?'' Quite a lot of interest, indeed. Anything Quidditch-related would definitely catch this blonde's attention. "I am, actually, always have and always will," Kat said with a smile. She had given up on playing Quidditch, sure, but it never stopped her from being passionate about it. Considering she had a best friend and a husband in that professional field, even just watching a match always brought her back to her first love. "Only for the Slytherin Team when I was still a student. It's been so long, really, but I still come to watch league matches during Quidditch season." She paused for a while. He did work for public relations, yeah? "Ever encountered an Elise Fairfield and a Clement Belrose on duty?" Both were beaters for the Pride of Portree and Appleby Arrows, respectively. Maybe Lucas had met them before.
Ah, no harm done. Though it was a little weird, the former Slytherin didn't really mind her handshake being ignored. "Oh, I'm sorry about the injury, but it's good that you never lost your passion for the game," Kat said. A pity, though. But yes, Quidditch was tough business and even the simplest injury would have knocked anyone's chances on a professional team. "Started during my fourth year. I tried out for my house team, and I've always been a member since then. I've played Chaser, Beater, and mostly Keeper until I graduated." At least two pro teams had shown interest in scouting Kat during her seventh year, but she had to turn the offers down. She'd never seen Quidditch as her future career back then, however, the 'what-ifs" are inevitable. Things would have been entirely different had she signed the deal a decade ago.
Oh, Quidditch. It will always have that special place in Kat's heart.
