Yggdrasil was referred to as an ash, but the name meant yew. Was Yggdrasil a yew or an ash? It seemed odd to name a tree "yew pillar" if it was actually an ash. So confusing. Ash and yew weren't even in the same family and didn't really look the same, so you'd think people would be able to tell the difference. Maybe the true meaning had been lost in translation over the years. It was hard to tell sometimes with such ancient things. Isa took notes on everything that the headmistress said, not wanting to miss anything.
Ancient Runes was actually a really fascinating subject, and Isa had been looking into runic charms because that seemed like something that would be really interesting to try if she could find a good reason to. Isa easily got carried away when she was talking about things she was interested in. Runes of fertility were of special interest to her as an aspiring herbologist.
