"Louise!" she called out with a smile and rushed over to offer her a hug and then she saw Brent who nearly broke her heart when he crumpled into the seat. Irene almost get herself rushing over to him to check on him. This task was too draining. "Are you okay?" she asked, checking on the older girl that she admired so much. That task was too much.... Too much for anyone. Too cruel. She was upset with the challenges.

And then more of the Illvermornians arrived. Valerie. Jesus. Kyle. Lachlan. They all got nods of respect and a smal reassuring smile except Lachlan who got a sort of "thank goodness we weren't in that task" smile of relief. She began walking towards them when her eyes caught sight of.... AURORA. Her heart dropped. Irene wanted to make sure she was alright. She wanted to fix everything. She knew how her friend felt... Broken.. Distraught. Perhaps she was guessing at how Aurora felt (that would be more accurate) but... Irene couldn't imagine being in that position herself.

Without another thought, Irene rushed over to her very close friend and threw her arms around her. "Aurora! You're here. It's okay," she said. Irene would always be there for her best friend. Always.
For how long Louise had been sitting there transfixed she did not know, but one moment she was staring at her competitor's screen, watching her sister being cared for. And the next Irene was at her side asking if she was okay, but then Irene was off again at Aurora who had just returned.

And what had she missed? Why was Aurora going off on Valerie? That seemed like an interesting table turn.

"I'm..." Her dark eyes scanned around the viewing area in search of a calming face. "I will be, Irene." She had to be because she knew the way the younger girl had looked up to her.

Just as long as she remembered to breath and remind herself that it wasn't really the end of the world if she didn't win that scholarship. Yes she was the closest to university age of those remaining competitors, and while half of her would have been amused to see Valerie and Aurora disqualified, Louise didn't really need the scholarship.
