Cornelius had almost forgotten about the seed in his hand as he made small talk with the Headmistress. Look at him. His dad would be proud. Eh.
"Glad to hear that, Headmistress. It is a pretty grand day," he genuinely agreed, green eyes glancing up at the sky. Then with a smile, he gave a small, polite shrug. "Hanging long enough for O.W.L.s." Unfortunately. Someone kill him. But not really. Kill OWLs. That was a better option.
As more students arrived, Cornelius tipped his head forward at the Headmistress, the way he was taught to excuse himself from adults, and stepped aside. Not before opening his palm and demonstrating her the seed he had kept a secret.

Now at Noelle's side, he examined his seed as the Headmistress spoke. They were going to plant trees? Here? All of them? Well, get ready to call this side of the bridge the Forest of Crushed Trees. Because that's what it was going to be unless they all spread out...like, really spread out and planted their seed.
Either way, it was going to be a forest. Get that name ready.
