She had sent Regina the note earlier today, and she hoped that the headmistress of Hogwarts would grace her with her presence.

She was not foolish enough to touch anything. She paced back and forth with her arms folded. Regina Hawthorne, where are you? Luckily, Melanie wasn’t wearing a watch, or she’d know just how late Regina was close to being.

Her mind was focused on other things at the moment, and while she wanted to talk to Regina, she also thought of her brother, and of back home. She wasn't even sure why she felt so compelled to speak to the former Ilvermorny professor, but she just needed to. Hopefully Duncan was getting up to things on his own without needing Melanie supervision. Her brother was clever, but Melanie didn't trust him not to make a move without her approval. He could complain, but it was vital he listen to her guidance.
Considering the entrance to her office was literally adjacent to the Hieroglyphs Hall, it would be absolutely absurd for her to show up late at the designated meeting place. Never mind that she wasn't there before the Ilvermornian History of Magic professor. In all honestly, Regina for once didn't mind taking her sweet old time getting from one place to the other. It gave her extra time to make assumptions about why exactly Melanie Williams wanted to meet with her.

Upon going through the doorway and making her way down the torch-lit corridor, she was a little disappointed to not hear the woman babbling or giggling uncontrollably or screaming upon realizing her hair had fallen off her head or that she was being attacked by flying bat bogeys. There was a glimmer of hope that she'd witness her in a full-body bind, but it was wishful thinking. Her being a former curse-breaker before teaching at Ilvermorny herself was common knowledge.

To no surprise, there the woman was in the flesh, pacing back and forth with her arms crossed. Some things just never changed. Regina took her place by the sarcophagus, without touching it because it was one of the many objects in the room she remembered cursing. Her eyes flashed over to her former colleague. "Hello, Melanie."
