Luckily the girl didn't seem to mind it very much and Cypress was happy to get all the attention that was currently being given to him in the form of pets.

"Ah, well at least you know he has a routine he likes to stick to." Which could be both good and bad depending on if the cruppy's routine got in the way of other things that needed to happen. Cami knelt down to give the crup a gentle rub on the ears. "So seeing the name a few times had made the name stick out in your head, nothing wrong with that. Sirius is a nice strong name for a little crup." There was many different ways to name a pet and if she liked her cruppy's name then that was all that mattered.

Seeing the young lions eyes widen at her explanation of Cypress' name, Cami briefly wondered if she had said something wrong. She had only explained the meaning for the name so really there was nothing to be surprised about. "Bonsai and Cypress? Well...I wouldn't call them friends just yet but it's getting there. Bonsai likes most other creatures (when he's not chasing them) but Cy is very active and thinks Bonsai is another cruppy." It was rather comical watching the two right now but she was sure in time they would be very close. Her cat took very well to other dogs, including the Healers two very large ones. "Ah, well chasing owls is what little crups do, they chase kitties too."

Camilla smiled watching how nicely Emmeline was playing with Cypress. The cruppy was so happy with the petting he had barely noticed that his beloved toy ball was picked up. He had caught sight of when it was shown to him, quickly dashing off through the snow to retrieve it and bring it back.

Emmeline was far from being a poor girl; she was a super happy, and now giggly, girl! She couldn't help the giggling, because it always happened when Sirius licked her face, and it was happening again with Cypress doing it too. She tried to stop to speak, though, so she put her hand in front of Cypress' mouth so maybe he'd lick that instead. "It's okay! Sirius did that the first time I ever met him," she confided. Actually, Sirius still jumped on and licked people's faces too, and Emmeline wasn't sure he'd ever grow out of it. She frowned slightly and looked up at the professor, "Are we supposed to teach them not to lick?" She figured Professor Stewart would know. Professors mostly knew what other professors wanted when they made assignments, right?

She shot the professor a guilty look because: "I go change it on purpose sometimes. Especially when I can go visit more, because half the professors want to have lessons outside now." She felt a little bad about disrupting Sirius' routine, but she went down to see him every single time she could, and she didn't usually have too much time between lessons. So when lessons were held outside, she got an extra chance that didn't happen every day, and she definitely took advantage of it. Emmeline gave the professor a BIG grin a few minutes, though, because the professor liked Sirius' name!

Her forehead wrinkled a little in confusion when the professor was talking about Bonsai and Cypress. She tilted her head to the side just a little and asked, "Your kitty chases creatures? Like tiny ones?" That would make more sense. She didn't understand how a cat could chase big creatures, which was what she'd first thought when the professor thought. She'd only thought of mice and tiny ones when she was halfway through asking her question. Oops. But also: "Cruppies chase everything!"

She had another question, too, but she wasn't sure if she was allowed to ask it. Bathing the cruppies was one of the tasks on the assignment list from Professor Wayland but: "Sirius realllllllly doesn't like baths. Can you tell me how to give him one?" She paused for a few seconds, then rushed on: "Idon'twannacheat." She wasn't okay with cheating, nope. If she had to go ask Professor Wayland, she would. But she kind of didn't want him to know that she wasn't having 10000% success with her cruppy, because what if he took him away from her?! The thought was horrifying enough that she gulped and petted Cypress more. She hoped Professor Stewart wouldn't tell him she'd asked. Especially if it was cheating. She didn't want the professor to tell her how to do it if it was cheating.
