Mrs. Alex Turner *asterisks user* Secret Door First things first: this tapestry was enormous and really, really heavy. The Slytherin did work out a lot and upper body strength was necessary to efficiently play Quidditch as a Chaser but it was still heavy. And dusty. One would think that in a magical castle dust wouldn't be a problem but clearly the new influx of students was proving too be too much for the house-elves.
Maybe Hawthorne should've hired another caretaker after ... the events of the previous year.
Soon enough, however, she was half covered by the heavy fabric, allowing her hand to roam freely against the stonewall. Maybe she was just imagining things but something did feel different there. Was the stone smoother? No, that wasn't it; the material was still rough against the palm of her hand but -- "Oh!" The hand that was about to reach for her wand froze and Daisy pulled her head back, peeking from behind the tapestry. "Whittebrook! Didn't recognise your voice. Thank Merlin you're one of those Ilvermorny professors." He knew the ones, surely. The beautiful but scary ones that always were joined at the hip. Remembering his question, she shook her head and frowned. "Sort of. I feel like there is but -- help me hold it up, please?"
See, she had said please. Levi was completely wrong when he said she was bossy. |
