"Her. Not 'it'. Her name is Lola, " she said with her irritation clear in her voice. Myers of ALL people should know how close she was to her geranium. She was a pet, basically. A beloved pet.
But that snort, tho.
Dora turned to face the man now. That was interesting. "Most of my years are hard. Please explain why you're having such a bad year." Her tone made it clear she wasn't taking no for an answer.
"Certainly. Anyone could be a lot more things." He took a seat next to her. He wouldn't correct her....the plant honestly probably did have a "sex" per say depending on which parts it had. Most plants had both parts, though, so her probably wasn't accurate, but Paul did the same thing. He named his favorite ones, called them gender specific pronouns and all. So he'd humor Dora, of course.
"Sorry. Her. You've had her for a while now, haven't you?" he smiled.
And no....he did not want to get into everything with a
student. Lines and all. "
IMPs is stressful to me," he said simply.
"Being away from home is always hard for extended periods of time, even at my age. But this year is a bit hard for me...for various reasons." And he wasn't going to get deep into things with you, Dora Umbridge. You are a student, and do not need to be burdened with your teacher's problems. Paul would never.
He had a husband and friends for that.
