SUMMER FOREVER It was really quite dark as she slipped into the hole, unable to cast a lumos since her hands were busy holding on to the sides for support. She had a million questions race through her mind as she climbed down very slowly and.. hey, they were not pleasant thoughts. Where exactly did this passageway lead to? Was it actually a passageway or just another trap? Was she going to have to face something worse than a dementor down there? She gulped, almost losing balance in the process. How deep was this hole, anyway? She felt like it was taking forever when it had only been a few minutes. Dramatic girl was being extra dramatic. She didn't have to panic for long though because soon enough, she dropped into what seemed like a very narrow-looking tunnel. She was simply guessing, of course. The dark was almost blinding.
She reached for the wand in her pocket and pulled it out before casting a lumos. Phew.. Etta watched as bright light flooded the passage. She took a moment to survey her surroundings but wished she hadn't. It was creepy.. creepier that she could have ever imagined. It was quite narrow and also, eerily quiet. Like.. something was just waiting to come at her any second. But, she knew she was also being a tad bit ridiculous. She had managed to survive the Whomping Willow.. how much worse could it get? Besides, every second was precious. She'd spent enough time preparing the potion as it is so surely, there wasn't much time left. Trying to shake all the unnecessary thoughts from her mind, she took a few cautions steps forward. From what she could tell, except for a couple of mouse-looking creatures trying to look for food, she seemed to be the only one down there. So, it looked like she was pretty safe, for the moment.
She started to walk briskly down the tunnel. It was an underground passage, after all.. she shouldn't expect it to be any different, it was supposed to be eerie, but a small part of her was still panicking slightly. But suddenly, when she was least expecting it, the girl was starting to feel a little bit of pain again, from where the branch had hit her earlier. Oh, no. She paused for a moment, clutching at her jacket. NOPE. This couldn't be happening. The last thing she wanted was to collapse.. ugh. She cringed slightly and hoped it wasn't something serious. Please, she had to finish this. She stood still and closed her eyes but the pain subsided within a few seconds so with a sigh of relief, she started to walk again, and this time her pace increased. She knew she had to see the Healer later. Maybe she'd ended up breaking a bone or two, after all.
... and there was a door at the end. Etta came to an abrupt stop and focused the light from her wand on the door, her face filled with curiosity. Where did it lead to? Was something hidden inside? Like a treasure? Or would she open it to find a monster inside? She took a few more tiny steps until she was standing right next to the door. She decided to cast a non-verbal silver-shield spell and a feather-light charm.. in case there was an attack. She had to be prepared, after all. Taking a deep breath and feeling like she was somewhat ready, the girl gently pushed the door open, it's hinges creaking loudly. What was inside?
