| h:200, m:200, f:15 Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite She'd never done this dueling thing before, never, but felt it may have been a good time to start. She'd enjoyed watching the duels from the stands and cheering her friends on during their own but always thought it wouldn't work as well for her. There was always so much to analyze, so many questions that she tended to silently ask while watching which gave her a pretty good idea when it came to how she would fare in her own duel.
Asking so many questions and getting completely distracted from the POINT.
Luckily her first duel ever would be with Abey. It kinda took the pressure off; not because he was a year younger and knew a fraction less spells than her but because he was her FRIEND and things were always far less nerve wracking when you did them with a friend, especially one that wouldn't laugh at her from here to the whomping willow when this was all over. Phew.
Jessa had watched enough to know the customer bowing and step taking but quickly found her wand out at his sudden casting.
Unfortunate, quick wasn't quick enough--not when she'd so nervously fumbled to get her wand out and ready in the first place. Circe Jessa, try to relax. Her feet that no longer moved were confirmation enough that his spell had indeed worked. Oh Merlin, she needed them. And why was he casting the featherlight? She'd seen a few duelers doing it over time. Was that a thing? Was she meant to do it TOO???? Was there an official handbook for this sort of thing??? Maybe...maybe she'd ask someone for dueling help afterall.
Jessa quickly cast a featherlight on herself too BECAUSE ABEY WAS DOING IT AND HE KNEW HOW THIS THINK WORKED. Clearly she just needed to follow his lead, except holy kneazle she was meant to be casting at him TOO and was still stuck to the ground and evdKSAVDUFeuofveoguD.
Ugh, seriously, where was the focus she'd told herself she would have?? And what spells could she safely cast because on the off chance they actually hit him Merlin would she feel terrible. One did not simply cast harmful spells at Abraham Botros, or anyone else for that matter. He'd never done anything to her. Sweet sweet friend he was and if he cried, she'd end the duel. Definitely. Couldn't risk, but watch her leave herself a sitting duck while she tried to figure something OKAY to cast.
Oh! She had one! "Aguamenti!" There, perfectly harmless. All good. But now about her feet. In all her casting she'd forgotten she was still stuck.
Brilliant start to your dueling career Jessa, just mess everything up.
