No, it's not," she said, feeling her cheeks grow hot. Turning to look for something else in her bag - she didn't know what, she just had to look busy - she continued, as if having polite conversation came easy to her.

How are you?" She didn't think he'd show up to class this early,
or that he would choose to sit next to her. Counting silently in her head, Althea took a deep breath, because she'd come to class to learn and not be distracted.
