 SUMMER FOREVER
They had to build a fire. Interesting. Etta made her way over to where the groundskeeper was but obviously, like he'd said, she decided to stand a safe distance away. She really couldn't risk getting her eyebrows or hair burnt. She folded her arms and watched, already feeling the cold. Ugh. Once this class was over, she was heading straight to the kitchens for a cup of hot chocolate. She really felt like having some right now.
Once the groundskeeper was done with his demonstration, she walked over to one of the nearby fire pits and crouched down. What had he said again? Small splinters in the middle and bigger ones around it. She collected the pieces of wood as required and sat down by the pit again, arranging the small splinters neatly in the middle before surrounding it with bigger pieces. Hmm. It did look cone-shaped, didn't it? Now, moving on to the next step.
She held out her wand, pointing it at the fire pit before before moving it up and then quickly down. "Incendio." .. had it worked? She peeked into the pit and.. there it was. A couple of sparks before the fire slowly began to burn. She tucked her wand inside and stood close to the pit for warmth, waiting for the professor to proceed to the next activity.
