H: 350, m: 350, f: 25 Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Henry was rather eager for the start of the dueling tournament. He had been practicing non-verbal spells specific for dueling and was looking forward to trying them out. Of course, he didn't know many, and the ones he could cast were not nearly as strong as his spoken incantations, but he thought this was a great place to put that practice to good use, plus it might give him an edge.
And his opponent was Ava. He didn't think it a bad thing to be dueling a friend and he knew it would be likely anyway as he was friends with most of those in his year, according to him. He gave the Gryffindor girl a big grin as he entered the arena and bowed in return. Right! "Good luck to us!" That was good sportsmanship and he was really more here to have fun anyway.
As she would cast first, Henry kept a vigilant watch to see what she would do and prepare to defend himself. Featherlight was always an interesting choice to see, especially since he thought it was his girlfriend who made that trend popular. It was a good spell to use in dueling though. But he waited for an offensive spell and he was almost disappointed with what she did send.
He quickly blocked her jelly fingers curse with a simple Protego, deflecting the curse back to her. "Come on, you can do better than that, Ava," he grinned. He knew she was a good dueler and he could handle more than that. He quickly cast Featherlight on himself, then he cast green sparks just above her head. Hoping that she would be distracted with the deflected spell and sparks, he quickly cast, "Fulgari!"
