Stepping aside from the throwing arena, Ava went back to create another dagger. She focused on her mind about what dagger should she get, specifically with the sheath because 1) That's what Professor C wanted and 2) It's dangerous to throw an unsheathed one. The Gryffindor walked to the smoke pit, drawing a circle around while thinking about the sheathed dagger and cast the spell. "Fumus Lamina!"
After obtaining the dagger, she went back in line, waiting for her turn to throw it. Based on her first success on throwing this, Ava probably should wait for a moment while observing the circle because there's a changing color possibility, you know? Once she was sure of it, Ava threw the dagger to the red circle and... SCORE! 2 points for Gryffindor and she's pretty satisfied about it.
