"They don't talk? Will honey if your friends aren't talking to you that might be a problem." She gave him a smile just joking, but really if he had met people that weren't talking to him they probably weren't really friends. Though she couldn't see anyone not being friends with Will, he was certainly one of those guys you just enjoyed spending time with.

Her eyes were back on the forest though and she reached down and grabbed his hand. Maybe she was a bit nervous after what Genny and Torrance said about the forest, but she wasn't going to let that stop her.

"Why not? They are such interesting creatures and they know so much. I've been reading about them and mermaids, did you know mermaids are in the lake?" She was determined to go there when the weather was a bit warmer. She took over a branch on the ground and started to head into the forest.
