Of course, it had always been a friendly kind of gesture for her. The only thing different was that she was holding the hand of her date. That made a lot of difference, she supposed. Besides, she had no intention of letting Sam's hand go yet. She'd just wait until he'd release first.

And the next time she knew, there was a levitating glass full of punch in front of her. The sight of it made Dana giggle, and it made her cheeks flush a tiny bit of pink. "Yes, a drink it is," the blonde said, finally taking the glass. "Thank you." And yes, that was definitely smooth. Those kinds of gestures worked well with Dana. It was impressive. Aside from that, she wouldn't say no to a dance with Sam. They were in a ballroom, after all.

Not this cool usually? Dana looked at him and tilted her head. Cute. "That's fine, I don't mind. I actually think you're doing a great job," she smiled, before taking a sip from her drink as well. Mmm, the punch was refreshing. "And I usually don't go to social events. They make me nervous sometimes. I kinda am now, really, but you being here makes it more comfortable."

BLINK. What... did... she just say? The Pukwudgie then looked down on the floor, trying to hide the obvious red blush that was dominating. Really, Dana, really?

Sam felt fancy! It wasn't often that he was dressed to impress. And tonight was one of those nights. His brother, Isaiah, had helped him dress. That sounded lame, and it was lame, but Sam usually just pulled on whatever he had in his room. He ruffled his hair and grabbed his jacket with a little sprit of smell good. That was the extent of getting ready. Tonight though, he had on a suit. And shiny shoes. Which Isaiah used a spell to polish.

He felt fancy.

Taking another sip of his drink he grinned. "Wanna know what I have always wanted to try?" He asked before he could stop himself. Taking her arm, he hooked hers with it and downed his drink. "It felt like the right thing to do. Especially in this fancy place. Ive never been to a place this fancy. its oddly nerve-racking but kinda cool. " Blink Why was he just blurting out whatever was on his mind?

But, she didn't seem to mind. In fact.. what was that she just said? That he makes her comfortable? "I don't usually either. My brother calls me a nerd because I'd much rather be with my plants than humans." Dude.... dude...... "Im surprised I make you feel comfortable though. I tend to make most people feel awkward." Whoa. What was happening?

Noelle's comment about her looking brilliant made Olivia feel more confident in the idea that she wasn't underdressed. Good. Thank you. She smiled, linking arms with the older girl.

She glanced down when Noelle mentioned Ace. Yeah, she should have asked him. Olivia saw that now but she had been scared. She didn't know why exactly. She just had a sinking feeling in her stomach. She had never been one to exactly show her emotions to someone when she felt a certain way about them. She just kind of let it be. Perhaps she ought to change that. That'd be something good to work on. But in the meantime, the idea of a dance made her lips turn upwards into a grin. "That's an excellent idea," she winked. "Are you going to ask someone special to dance?" She assumed that Noelle probably had a whole bunch of guys after her. Who wouldn't like her? She was kind, beautiful, hilarious, really smart, and just wonderful.

Yes. They all did look breath-taking. "They all do. It's amazing. I like seeing everyone dressed up. It's a nice change," she offered with the slightest of smiles. And then she saw Noelle call out to Mel. She did look REALLY good. Plus the girl was with a cute date. He looked quite taken with her and Olivia didn't recognize him. "Who's Mel's date?" she leaned over whispering to Noelle.
Professional Gravity Tester.
Noelle liked that.

She giggled when Olivia told her that. "You and I should never be left in a room together with glass then." She told her as they linked arms. She was just going to casually use her to steady herself on these heels. Being the klutz she was, she figured Olivia would understand.

It was fine that the two didn't have dates. It would make it more fun. They could dance with whoever they wanted to. Have fun. ... Even if Noelle couldn't particularly dance very well. Horrible in fact. "We can dance with whoever we want. Ask anyone." That was a challenge Olivia. Were you up for it? "I don't have anyone special in mind. I did promise Torrance 3 dances. He had asked me to be his date.. but.." She blushed. She hadn't wanted to be mean.. but she said no. She did agree to 3 dances though. That was a win right? "I plan on dancing until my feet fall off." She giggled. She just wanted to have fun. Forget things and have fun.

Noelle continued to look around as they walked. She'd look down occasionally to make sure she was doing okay walking in heels. "I think.... his name is Kirk. I think, ive seen him in classes but Ive never talked to him before." She said. "Should we go over and say hi?"
