The first cut made its mark but it was far from the last stroke needed to fell the tree. “Diffindo!” Cassie repeated, the spell echoing as she cast it a few more time at different angles and intervals to get all the way through. Finally, it moved almost in slow motion, the Gryffindor scurrying backwards unnecessarily as if concerned despite her actions to try and prevent getting a tree down on top of her. “Arresto Momentum!” she cast as a late added thought, slowing its descent. She and Corena were still very much safe and it hadn’t been damaged in the process.
Now to get it back to the meeting point where the headmistress was waiting for them. Cass debated her options on how to bring the tree with them, hoping for not too much headache in the process. The first thing she realized was it was best for her to get back on her ride before even beginning to cast what she needed. “Shall we get back then, Corena?” the fifth year asked rhetorically, getting a playful toss of her head from the Granian as Cass climbed on.
Then after staring at the tree for a few more moment, she raised her wand once more and took aim. "Incarcerous..." she cast, watching as the magical ropes tied the tree up. "Now Corena...go!" The winged horses paused for but a moment as if waking up before unfurling her wings once more and going into a run. Cassie took a tight grip with her one hand while the other grasped her wand tightly keeping the spell in place. Once they were airborne, the duo dragged a long the tree in the air with them, eventually landing carefully with their prize.
