But it didn't matter! Lachlan's landed on his head, Manuela and on her shoulder, Zinnia's on her shoulder, too and Layla's right next to the sushi.

"Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes!" Sing sang the house elf, shimming on the spot before heading over to continue her food distribution elsewhere. She wiggled her fingers at them all as she walked backwards and out of the dining saloon, "Studentsies! Tinka needs you to eats and enjoy plenty! No starving!"

”Hi Tinka!” Mel beamed at the little house elf a happy smile on her face…after her fruit maybe she’d grab a cupcake? That could be fun…and delicious.

Happily eating her food, and sipping her drink now and then, the Ilvermorny girl had to admit this was the best part of her night. Aside from enjoying the stars from the deck with Lucy. And dancing with a few people. Though the kids here at Hogwarts weren't as good at those in her school. But of course no one cared about it. She'd go find a boy from her school later, who wasn't Maddox, and ask them to dance with her. Just as she set her glass back down, someone or something, placed a cupcake next to her.

Layla couldn't help but squeal at the small creature and the cupcake she had given her. "Thank you!" She grinned and took a closer look at the house elf. Yup, they were pretty long descendants of the pukwedgies back home. But this house elf was truly adorable. Layla looked up at the sound of her voice, coming from a girl. Smiling, Layla waved at Mel and pulled out a chair for her. "Please do. Maybe it'll be more fun that way," the girl practically pulled Mel down on a chair to sit next to her. "Are you enjoying this formal so far, because I'm not," She made a face and sipped her drink more. And then a professor came by.

"Actually, this party id dull. Isn't there something we can do to make it more lively? After all the stories I've heard about this school, something bound to be it exciting," Layla shrugged a bit and ate another piece of her sushi.
