Now THAT was a useful spell to learn. Matt was super excited now and he hoped he'd get it straight away.
Though he had to admit it sounded like a slightly complicated thing to learn as they were transfiguring such a... non-substantial thing into a POINTY dagger that would cut through things. Yeah, he could see it taking him ages to get it right.
Ain't nobody got time to just practice the incantation on its own, so Matt got up straight away and went to find a smokier area.
"Fumus lamina." He said out loud after getting his wand. He made the circular motion, making sure there was always some smoke within the circle. "Fumus lamina. Fumus lamina. Fumus lamina?" Hello-o? Come on, smoke.
The Gryffindor only now started to picture the dagger in his mind. He stopped saying the incantation and doing the circles with his wand and thought long(ish) and hard about an awesome dagger. He picture some details but not that many as the quicker he got that spell right, the better. He'd think about making it more difficult for him later.
Besides, when someone needed a dagger to stab someone, they probably wouldn't care about the details anyway, as long as it was sharp. "Fumus lamina!" |
