She could tell that Noelle was trying to distract her. Stasya did understand that, but it was unicorns. It wasn’t that easy to get them out of her head, nor was it easy for her to forget her crushing disappointment that someone had scared them off before she’d gotten to touch one. To pet them and make sure they knew she wasn’t a danger to them. Luckily for her, though, she wasn’t standing in the path of the falling tree, as their tree had in fact actually tipped over and crashed to the ground.

She had jumped a little at the sound and the vibration from said tree, finally looking over at Noelle again. “You think so?,” she asked softly, bypassing the praise because her thoughts were still on the unicorns no matter how hard the older girl tried to get her mind off them. She was nearly decided to ask someone if she could go back into the forest to check on the creatures, but she wasn’t sure if it would be better to ask the headmistress or to wait and go see Professor Wayland after the lesson. The lesson she ought to be more focused on, but she didn’t want to anymore.

“Okay,” she said simply, returning to Cygnus’ side and climbing onto his back again even as the prefect had gotten the tree bound up and tied to the Granian’s back. “But what about you?” Was she going to walk, or was she staying behind? She wasn’t really sure which option she thought was better.
