madelyn, blakeney, kathleen, maddox ✿ i ain't sorry.mp3 | i don't know her.gif ✿ Everything was happening so fast and Khalil felt like he was in the wrong but couldn't figure out why. He sent a pleading look to Kathleen - maybe she could help him?? - but she seemed just as confused as he was. At Blakeney's answer, Khalil sighed. They weren't a thing, so what was going on? "I'm still so confused at all of this," he said, genuinely trying to piece together Madelyn's logic. He wondered if he'd offended her somehow and if he did he had to figure out how to rectify it. Fast.
He blinked several times at Madelyn's question, and looked over to Kathleen briefly before turning back to her. "Uhhh...No? Not really, I mean, kinda?" It wasn't an answer, but it was the best sort of response that he had for her at the moment. "But, I mean, I thought we were kinda dating too." He honestly thought he had straightened everything out but clearly something had gotten lost in translation. It possibly had to do with how affectionate Kathleen was whenever they were in public, but Khalil thought that he was pretty honest with Madelyn from the start. Unless he was remembering that whole conversation - which, to be fair, was quite possible with him.
"Wait, hold on, back up. I mean, yeah, Kathleen is fun, but you're fun too," he said, feeling a little frustrated and incredibly lost. These sort of things didn't really happen to him, so he was navigating through all of the awkwardness the best way he could. "Wait, Madelyn, don't go." And even though he couldn't blame her for wanting to leave, still the sixth year was at a loss for words. He felt terrible because Madelyn had gotten wet from the game and she was obviously upset and Khalil thought that the best way to fix all of this was to talk to her alone. Rubbing the back of his neck, he contemplated what to do, before glancing over at Kathleen. "I should probably go and talk to her and make sure she's alright." That was the right thing to do, right?? No??? The boy needed answers. |
