She always remembered him coming home and talking about those subjects. She even remembered hearing about a research assistance meeting between Flamesteed and Botros where Zander Adair had tried to convince her brother that the Defense Against The Dark Arts Professor was a Cold One! Oh the nerve. Simon never let his friend forget that moment and would recount that tale whenever Zander came around for coffee. Though Zander had plenty of stories about her brother. "He is currently Assistant Teaching at Beauxbatons. He's got one more year before he can teach full on classes!" She beamed. She was so proud of her older brother.
Speaking of schools and teaching.... "Professor, where did you go to school? Did you go to Hogwarts too?" she asked curiously with a slight tilt of her head to the right.
The library had suggestions too? Merlin. The library was becoming ever more helpful as she got older. Besides Mr. Kennedy was very nice and helpful. She had appreciated his help the other day. "Alright, I'll definitely take a look there," she grinned. Any help would be fantastic on this as she would be the first person in her entire family to go into the arts. Astronomy and Ancient Runes were definitely rather challenging subjects, but then again all of them had some degree of difficulty. Added to the fact that people had their strengths and weaknesses. For instance she was rather horrible when it came to Divination. Always had been and always would be. "I liked those classes as well; especially Astronomy. The science can be rather heavy, but it is just so fascinating to think about space and just how small we really are in the great scheme of things." Really it made one feel that their problems really weren't so bad after all; what would they even matter in the long run? Not much at all. "I've never been to Beauxbatons, but I heard all about how beautiful it is. I did my assistant teaching at Durmstrang. Is your brother enjoying his time there?" It could be a little overwhelming at first, but once you got into the groove of things, assisting was rather fun.
Rosalyn wasn't surprised when Olivia asked her where she had attended school. "Yes, I did. I was actually in Ravenclaw. Most of the professors used to attend Hogwarts, and I think that's rather nice. Return to where we came from." The first time she had set foot in the school as a professor was amazing. There had been so much nostalgia. "Wonderful! I am sure that you will find everything that you need to know there. At the very least you could come up with some things that tie in to your interests." And then she could narrow it down from there. Just a possibility. |
