She had fun dancing and chatting with all her friends, but there was someone she hadn't seen yet. Had Khalil not come to this. Maybe she should have gotten up the courage just to ask him herself, but she had really hoped it would be like one of the movies where the boy comes in and asks the girl. This wasn't the case and now she was watching all these couples and honestly she was quite done, the only saving grace she had was she hadn't run into Brent with his girlfriend. How pathetic would she be dateless running into the ex.
Deciding she was going to explore the ship Madelyn set off to move around the areas coming to the lounge. It was interesting that they had this, but she found it fun and exciting so she made her way in. Seeing Blakeney her smile grew and she waved at her and Maddox. Maybe she could go over and talk to them, but she did want to see what else was in the room. Waving at Deo when she saw him she put a reminder to go over and say hello in a minute. She noticed the Headmistress and one of the professors and of course gave them both polite nods.

There he was. She could feel her heart jump just seeing him. Look at how amazing he looked dressed up. She wasn't surprised though, he looked amazing in everything. He had to be one of the cutest boys in school. "There you are.." She just went to reach to give him a hug when she saw Kathleen playing a game and she couldn't help but stop. "Oh... " Did he come with her? "I'm.. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your date.. I mean game.. or date." This was why he hadn't asked her. She bit the inside of her cheek. She knew she liked him, but she knew he liked someone else, but it still felt strange. She felt weird and she didn't even know if they had come together or if they were just talking, yes they were just talking, but what if they weren't. What if they were together and they both liked each other. How stupid she was to think he could like her. Her brain as always over thought in the minor seconds she stood there.
"I.. I'll talk to you both later, you... you have fun. Kathleen you look really pretty tonight." She turned on her heel and rolled it a bit, but walked through the pain she now felt, because she didn't want to look stupid in front of him and she didn't want to have him see that she was actually upset. She made a quick step to Blakeney and Maddox and before she could think about anything else she grabbed Maddox's arm and pulled him to face her then kissed him.
Pulling from him after the kiss she whispered a sorry, looked at Blakeney and walked to a slot taking a seat, maybe she could just pretend not to have done that and not to have acted like that by playing one of these games. Pulling the handle it would just be her luck that someone had lost enough times that she would lose and water squirted out all over her.
She truly hated this trip lately.
