Even though he obviously wasn't his date. Well, his friend-date. Now he was wondering who else had come here with friends and who had actually come here as dates. Hm. Asking people would probably be weird, right?

Maybe he'd ask his friends at least. Just because he was curious.

After taking a stroll around the place, trying to take everything in, Cameron had somehow ended up in a very quiet room, away from the party. It looked like the Engine Room. Huh. Interesting. Tugging on his tie, he took a step closer to the machines. Did they actually work? How much was magical and how much was just plain Muggle science? He carefully reached out to touch it.

Hmm.
Jaecar had gone off...again. He'd been doing it for the better portion of the evening so far. It was nice he was always offering to get her something to drink but her bladder could only hold so much and she'd stopped being even remotely thirsty maybe five or six drinks ago. Anyone who saw the line of drinks cued up by where she sat at the table might have found it an odd sight--even she was beginning to think maybe she didn't need a seventh one, y'know?

Knowing by now that her date wouldn't be back any time soon, Jessa decided it would be nice to stretch her legs. She had the sneaking suspicion that if he got back before she did, he wouldn't be at all bothered by her absence so it worked out fine.

The music swelled as she approached the grand ballroom before fading into silence as she moved further and further away. While she didn't know where she was going, it was certainly interesting to explore the ship.

Eventually she came upon what might have been the most interesting room on the entire vessel. The engine room. Neat, wasn't it? Jessa moved inside without hesitation, belatedly realizing there was something else in there too. Cameron? HAI FRIEND!! She headed over to where he stood, trying to figure what exactly had caught his attention. "What'd you think it does?" Meaning the piece he was touching. Maybe he knew HOW to steer a boat!
