TOGETHER? because they totally were, and he was fiancé and they were on the most luxurious boat she'd ever seen and-
Was that pacman?
Kathleen moved as fast as her heels would allow, practically tackling the arcade machine in her enthusiasm. It was, in fact, Pacman and it was all free, officially she was never moving from this spot, not ever again. They would have to pry her away when she was cold and dead.
She pressed the big red button, squealing with delight as the machine beeped and booped into life. Kathleen cracked her pale knuckles and with the smirk of a professional, she got down to business. WATCH OUT GHOSTS. The whole dance on a boat thing was very bougie and technically Khalil would have been into it, if it wasn't, y'know, like December. Still, he had to admit, he felt extremely fancy roaming around with his main squeeze aka Baeleen on his arm. He should've rolled in with Will and Maddox but Kathleen could be very persuasive when she wanted. He also wanted to ask Madelyn to the event, but Kathleen wasn't having any of that (this wouldn't prevent him from sneaking off to find Madelyn later and hanging out for a bit.)
That girl really had captured his heart without him realizing it.
The sixth year watched, half amused and half amazed, as Kathleen ran off to go start playing games. He liked how carefree she was and even when she was bashful she still managed to be honest. He walked over to her, and folded his arms across his chest. "You look incredibly serious about this," he mused out loud, watching her as she played. "I played this...once I think. Wasn't really good at it, but it seemed fun." The game was so old, he was surprised that they managed to drag it out of the crypts for this special occasion. |
