Her arm linked with the man beside her, the headmistress glided into the room, a white beacon amongst the bright colours of the casino and lounge. For a moment she almost did a double take, wondering if this was the Board's sick way of getting money to pay off some expenses. But she quickly shook the thought from her mind. They would never take money from children. From what she could see, this was simply an enormous game room for the kids and, of course, the adults who were probably relieved they did not have to cough up their galleons.
"Fancy a game of poker, Roderik?" Regina asked the Defence professor, giving him one of her grins. She was known to have a good poker face, so it was no surprise that would be her go-to card game.
Oh. And there was her deputy head, looking rather sharp. Praise Merlin that he opted to forgo wearing one of his ponchos. "Good evening, Paul." Hirsch was surprised.
By a number of things, actually, but the thing that surprised him the most was the fact that he was currently arm in arm with the Headmistress herself. He wasn't exactly a timid person but this wasn't something he'd expected in his wildest of dreams. But now, he was wandering around the grand interior of a ship with Regina looking like she could single-handedly cause the melting of the ice caps in Antarctica.
Yes, both the dress and the tattoo were noted.
And Hirsch had no complaints.
Poker was what drew him away from his thoughts and he glanced around the room properly before focusing on Regina. "Poker? Are you genuinely asking or do you just want to beat me in something?" The question was asked with a small cheeky grin from the Defence professor because, frankly, he wouldn't be surprised if she turned out to be great at poker. "You're on." He was going to lose spectacularly but, right now, he didn't hold a care in the world for that.
Paul? Where did Paul co- Oh! "No poncho, Captain Paul?" It was weird not to see him in one of his usually unusual getups.
