Katy was having so much trouble watching the competitors that she'd opted to peek at the screen from between her fingers. Imagine how much worse it was to be out there on the field where there were no fingers for safety. She eeped occasionally too. This was the stupidest thing ever. Death for what? A scholarship that some of these kids didn't need... and that the rest wouldn't be able to enjoy because they'd gone and lost their SOUL.

She let herself be distracted by the Ilvy cheerleader, who was NOT particularly cheerful at the moment. Ugh. Feelings. They provided a good distraction, at least, and Katy slid down to sit beside the girl. "No offense, because I don't know you and I figure we're supposed to be mortal foes until the end of this little exercise, but he's a duffer and you'll do better. His name is Brent." Which offended Katy on a personal level and always had.

Or well he used to be at least. She couldn't help but feel that way, he was Ilvermorny's first, but he wasn't anymore and she was happy where she was in her life and she was thinking other guys were cute so it shouldn't matter. They hadn't been together for way over a year, so yes she couldn't let it bother her. Turning back towards Will she smiled, "Why do you care? You just like watching me cheer no matter who it's for."

Turning back around and keeping the smile until she knew she wasn't facing him anymore she let the edges of the smile go upside down. She heard the girl before she turned her head. "It's okay, he deserves to have a girlfriend here. I broke up with him anyway, when he was moving here." She wasn't going to try to pretend she didn't. "He's a nice guy though even if you don't like his name." She smiled a bit before people were appearing in the stands. She jumped up when one after the other appeared.

"Kyle... Valarie are you okay?" Could they go to them, were they allowed? She tossed her pompoms down and went to them. Next, she saw more, "Lousie... Irene.. Lachlan you're safe!!!" Thank you goodness they were back, but they were missing some? Her eyes moved back to the screen. Where were they?

There he was!

She saw him and without thought threw her arms around him. "Oh gosh Brent I'm so glad you are okay!"
