Walking along the pathway, Skylar had to admit it was easing her tensions just a bit. There was something serene about the Hogwarts campus and despite the aggravations of some of its occupants, the castle was home.

"Mm, yes, home-schooled," At least that's what she was told, which was weird and she felt like wasn't the whole story. But she couldn't force her family to tell her everything. Oh, perhaps she shouldn't have brought up Alani. "Uh, honestly? ... I have no idea. He met her over the summer in Hawaii and I'm not sure what their status is." But she'd been to see Noah play at the end of the Summer and it seemed close, which was bizarre to the fourth year.

How is she? It felt like there was more to the question than what was really being asked, but quite simply, Skylar responded. "Me? I'm fine. Looking forward to the Holiday break. It'll be good. How are you?"
