Lachlan almost hadn't joined the other competitors in the stands. Sweater covered in throw up and his body racked with pain, he was still beyond angry. And to everyone who knew him, that wasn't an emotion usually displayed on his face. However, at the current moment...there was no hiding it. None, whatsoever.
And what didn't help was that the logical, more rational side of his brain was openly at war with his heart which wanted to denounce everything to do with this IMPS situation. He'd been forced to go against his personal values to complete a challenge. He'd manipulated a fake child. Had pushed a memory into her mind to make her more compliant to his own will. There may have been other avenues he could've taken, but...in his desperation, none presented themselves.
In truth, he felt shaken.
Settling himself into a seat and not looking at anyone, Lachlan pulled his swearter up from behind to separate it from the soaked tshirt beneath. After tugging it off completely, he used the material to wipe at his mouth and eyes. The only thing he wanted to do was shower, brush his teeth, and sleep.
At least he saw that most of his schoolmates had made it out alive....Actually, where was Aurora?
