And now he was at least a little less upset about not being picked because there was no way that he would have been able to cast one as well as others had been able to...as well as Dora had been able to. That was still the one bit of magic that he struggled with. Perhaps he didn't have good enough memories. Or he just wasn't as great at magic as everyone wanted him to be. As he wanted to be.

All nitpicky things about himself that if he voiced, they'd be laughed off.
