Ava was being weird, Skylar was convinced. Actually the whole school was being weird and she was greatly looking forward to being away from the castle for a couple weeks over Christmas break. Perhaps it was the wanting to put on a good show and hospitality for their guests, but it was making the fourth year very suspicious, because it didn't seem at all like the Hogwarts she'd adored the past three and a half years. Why had the Gryffindor asked her to accompany her on her walk? Skylar didn't mind it, but it was weird.

Noah? That was what she wanted to ask about? Sure they were in the same year, but still, Skylar was skeptical. "Oh, Noah, he's um ... fine. I saw him actually, recently, he visited during the last Hogsmeade weekend." When the Diggory kids tackled a boggart instead having a couple of butterbeers, but no biggie. Just another day. "I'll see him again in a couple weeks over Christmas. He's bringing Alani again." It was weird, him and Alani; she seemed like a nice girl, but he'd moved on so fast and Sky was skeptical over that too. She was just all kinds of skeptical.
