If Olly was being completely honest with himself he would have to admit that he was a little bit nervous. He was excited, yes. Excited to get a baby creature to take care of all by himself. But he just a little nervous that he wouldn't be able to do a good enough job. This was a real life. A real baby life. And Olly was the one in charge of it. That was kind of a scary thought. But Professor Wayland had thought he could handle this baby Jobberknoll and Olly would definitely do his best to take care of the little guy. Or, well, girl.

When he arrived in the nursery he slowly approached the cage. There she was. His baby Jobberknoll. "Hi Aurora," he said softly. That was the name he had decided on, with Noelle's help of course. He opened the cage and reached in gently. Aurora was so small she fit right in just one of his hands. He slowly stroked the top of her head with his other. Aurora, of course, did not make any noise. She sat still and silent in his gently hand and Olly smiled at her. This wasn't very hard so far. She was pretty cute. A pale blueish color with fuzz instead of feathers so far.

While he was still holding Aurora in one hand, Olly used his other hand to clean out her cage before gently setting her back in. "That looks much nicer," he remarked, even though he didn't think she could understand what he was saying. He added a little bowl of the baby jobberknoll food and a little bowl of water to the cage. "Eat up. I'll be sure to come back and visit you soon, don't you worry." He watched for a moment to make sure she actually started eating before turning and heading out of the nursery.
