He laughed, openly, poured in the powdered kelp using a clockwise motion again. "But maybe I want to encourage you to continue to be--" He set the tablespoon down, and used air quotations, "--'impossible.'"

Levi eyed her, speculatively, watched her stir quickly hardening concoction and toyed with the idea of offering to stir for her before deciding against it; Katy didn't strike him as someone who would sugarcoat anything. If she needed his help, she'd likely ask for it. Right? "Yes, but hard work does have a way of feeling less like work when you actually enjoy what you're doing, I think."

Indiscreet was a peculiar way of describing things and Levi did not attempt to hide his curiosity. He raised one of his eyebrows and shifted his body sideways to look at her. "An admirable goal," he said. "This castle is full people who love handing out their unsolicited opinions. That ought to help." Or make it worse. "It's an honest reaction, though--blushing."
