It made her eye twitch involuntarily. But, with great effort, she kept it in. No need to repeat that particular class last term.

Once she had finally settled back, the blonde girl crossed her hands on top of her desk and smiled over at Levi. "Hey. How's it goin? "
Eyebrow raise as Miss Umbridge walked right past her without saying anything; must be something or another on her mind. Oh, there it was. "Hello, Miss Umbridge." Something seemed off with the girl, but it didn't seem to be anything serious, so Rosalyn decided to let it go. Probably related to the food, as by now she knew how Dora felt about Hogwarts food.

It seemed as if Mr Ashburry-Hawthorne had other things on his mind, namely Mr Botros. "Good morning, Mr Ashburry-Hawthorne" Rosalyn said in reply to his quick wave and grin. She curiously watched both boys while wondering what was going on, but then figured that it was related to the whole food and drink thing. Well, they didn't have to take part in the refreshments; that was up to them even though she would never drug students.

Making a point to not notice anyone in particular (a general HELLO conveyed with forced smiles and some waving)... Liv seated herself near the front. There would be notes, and luckily for her, someone had remembered their Quick Quotes. Finally...."Good morning, Professor." The words were mostly monotone and lacked any real enthusiasm. There would be a lot of keeping her head down today.
Rosalyn had to keep herself from blinking as Olivia entered the classroom in a clearly bad mood and passed on the hot chocolate and snack. "Morning, Miss Phillips. Bad nights sleep?" Maybe it WOULD have been a good idea to provide coffee. That could still be arranged as she had told Miss Diggory.

Getting up from her desk, Rosalyn made her way to the doorway. After taking a peek out into the corridor to make sure that there weren't any any last minute arrivals. Pleased to not see any, she door. Anyone else who came in from now would suffer point loss; something that she hated doing, but was necessary anyway.
That done, she made her way towards the front of the classroom and stood in front of the blackboard so that she could address the class. "Good morning, everyone." Hopefully everyone was feeling warmer and no one would be falling asleep on her. "There have been many people throughout history who have helped to make the wizarding world a better place. What are some ways that a person could help to make the world a better place?" She was really curious to hear what the class would come up with for this one. OOC: Class has officially started! At this point any new arrivals will suffer IC consequences, so it is best to pretend that you have been here the entire time. Next post will be in approximately 24 hours.  |
