SUMMER FOREVER Etta could feel that.. THING chasing them every step of the way. She tried running faster but it was practically impossible because for one, she was starting to get exhausted and second of all, the other girl had to keep up. At one point, she slowed down to a jog when she turned around... to see the mosterish-thing just behind them. Looking at it, just for a second, Etta remembered what had happened last term. How she'd gotten sucked into a portal and how she'd narrowly managed to escape from the monster. And now, she watched it reaching for the girl.. NO. NO. NO. Not if she could help it. Etta roughly pushed her away, a million thoughts running through her mind. If that spell, a Glacius Tria, had barely even touched it.. GULP. She was starting to fear for her life at this point. Was she even going to make it out alive? It really seemed highly doubtful. Was she never going to see her family again? Her friends? Her boyfriend?
Etta just screamed, the anger and frustration slowly replacing the fear. HECK. If she was going to go.. might as well give it a fight and go, yes? THAT'S IT. "YOU GET AWAY FROM HER, YOU STUPID STUPID CREATURE." She was beyond frustrated at this point. She shifted the wand to her right hand, swiftly walking backwards but thinking quickly. THINKING. What spell? The patronus spell? She hadn't even learned it yet. How to attack something without knowing its weaknesses? Why didn't Hirsch teach this in class? Anyway, that was irrelevant in the current situation. Random thoughts.
What was she going to do? Oh, well. It was now or never. Within the next couple of seconds, she cast an Immobulus, praying that it would work. She wanted to cast a fire spell next but fire.. in combination with wood, in a forest, would be a terrible combination and she had no intention of taking that risk... even if an extinguishing spell could work. Instead, she cast a Duro, a simple transfiguration spell. It wouldn't be able to move now, would it? Hopefully. She quickly turned to join the other girl, who had been hiding somewhere behind a tree nearby. She did have a final back-up plan, if that didn't work.
Not wasting too much time, she grabbed the other girl's hand once again and carefully started to move. They couldn't just wait around, could they? ... when she suddenly felt her left arm throbbing. It hurt pretty badly but now wasn't the time to check her arm. She probably must have gotten hurt earlier somehow but hadn't even noticed it.. She sighed to herself, thinking that this challenge only kept getting worse.
