"Music is definitely a universal language for the most part. Even if you're listening to a song in a language you can't speak yet, it can still speak to you in a way just by listening to the instruments and the flow of the words. And music without lyrics, like Katy mentioned, can especially be universal, since the instruments take all of the focus and can really impact you." She paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts, then continued, "Though also music can be a pretty unique experience to each person too. One song that impacts you might not affect someone else the same way, or maybe they interpret it in a way that's different from you. And that can be a really interesting way to find out new things about someone else."
